TEALS MILL FIRE DEPARTMENT IS SEEKING 3 CIVILIANS FOR OUR BO

All board meetings are held at the fire department at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of January, April, July and October.

All perspective member of the Board of Directors are required to pass a background check to include SLED, Moral Turpitude, and betterment of the department.

Moral Turpitude is defined as an act or behavior that gravely violates the sentiment or accepted standard of the Fire Department or general conduct that shocks the public conscience as being inherently base, vile, or depraved, contrary to the rules of morality and the duties owed between man and man, either one’s fellow man or society in general.

Any past firefighters wishing to be on the Board of Directors must be in good standing with the department.

Civilian Members will be entered into the South Carolina Fire Fighters Association (SCFFA) as Support Staff upon appointment.

Applicants for Public Board Membership

Any applicant who resides or owns real property within the described fire department district or within the tax blocks for the fire district for at least three (3) years are eligible.

The term is four (4) years.

Any civilian desiring to become a member of the Board of Directors of the Teals Mill Fire Department shall submit their intent by filling out an application and submitting it to the Chairperson by registered mail, certified mail at 5005 Teals Mill Rd Chesterfield SC, 29709 or via email to tmfd@shtc.net

Applications will be accepted till June 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Any applications submitted after 5:00 p.m. will not be accepted.

It is the mission of the Teal’s Mill Fire Department to provide a dedicated team of safety minded firefighters that, through dedicated training and teamwork, we shall protect the life and property of all, citizens, or visitors. All members will train to the highest level of their abilities to ensure our mission is completed efficiently and effectively on each alarm.
